If any wife of a scandalous political figure should get an award, it’s Jenny Sanford. Not only did she refuse fall into the quiet shadows of standing behind her clearly guilty man, but she also stuck by her own morals and let him have it. On March 17 at 10:30 a.m., Sanford will appear at the Emmett Robinson Theater in a tell-all about her recent book, Staying True, she’ll describe her relationship with former husband, her life before and after the scandal, and her own plans for the future.

Following her talk, Ms. Sanford will have an open conversation with Center for Women Executive Director Jennet Robinson Alterman. From there, they will discuss the media attention Sanford has received since publishing her book and her views on women running for public office. Sanford will sign copies of her book as well. All proceeds will go to benefit the Center for Women and the Friends of the College of Charleston Library. Reservations are required and must be made in advance. Admission is $25 per person.
