Food carts have their own cults these days (in case you didn’t know). Enormous street food festivals have cropped up across the county in places like L.A. and New Orleans. And devotees dedicate blogs, forums, and web shows to the art form. One of those devotees is swinging through the Southeast for a Spring 2010 street food tour. Daniel Delaney will be shooting an episode of VendrTV, his weekly web show on curbside cuisine, tonight out at Folly Beach’s very own Tokyo Crepes.
Crepe maven Yukari Yucca sent us a note inviting everyone to come out for the shoot tonight (Wed. March 17) from 7-8:30 p.m.
In honor of the taping, they’ll be debuting two new crepes — the Creamy Oreo with Oreo cookies, banana, cream cheese, and whipped cream and the Crunchy Apple with apple, Frosted Flakes, whipped cream, and your choice of ice cream or caramel sauce. The crepes will be available for only $2 on Wednesday and Thursday.
From Folly, Delaney and crew will be heading south to Orlando and Miami Orlando before hitting the Oyster Jubilee and the Road Food Festival in New Orleans next week. They have plans to hit Texas after that.
