Charleston Fashion Week may be over, fashion itself never ends. Poe Studio is hosting a trunk show for May-bee, a local women and children’s clothing store, on March 27, 5-8 p.m. Most of you know what a trunk show is, but for the uninitiated, think of it as an art opening reception. You just might get to see the artist/designer, you’ll see some new designs, there will be snacks, and you may go home with an item, or five, by the end of the night. Shawna Clendail founded the May-bee in June 2009. The online store features flirty, colorful skirts for women; skirts, dresses, and appliqué tees for girls; and pants and appliqué tees for boys. At Poe, you’ll get to see the line’s new stuff for this season before it goes on sale in the May-bee store. For more information, call (843) 573-4884 or visit their website.
