If you’re feelin’ groovy and like to get down, the 2010 Funk Fest is where it’s at.

Presented by Star 99.7 FM, last year’s Funk Fest included sets from Maze (led by lead vocalist Frankie Beverly), Doug E. Fresh, Deborah Cox, Al B. Sure, K’Jon, Slique, and Bobby Brown. In its second year, this traveling presentation of funkalicious musicians brings performances by Charlie Wilson, Bell Biv DeVoe, Keith Sweat, Heavy D, and many other talented acts (to be announced).

The event goes down Sat. June 19 at the Family Circle Stadium. The venue is located at 161 Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island.

The musical styles at Funk Fest range from old-school R&B and funk to early-era hip-hop and blues.
