They answer your phones, file your paperwork, and even make your coffee (with cream and two sugars). What would some of us do without our administrative assistants? High Cotton knows this, and they’ll host their sixth annual benefit for Communities in Schools (CIS) on Wed. April 21. The lunch also gives employers an opportunity to honor their employees on Administrative Professionals’ Day. All proceeds from this three-course lunch will be donated directly to CIS, a nonprofit dropout prevention agency. The three-course meal is $25 per person (plus tax and gratuity). There’s different choices for each course, like chilled cucumber gazpacho, High Cotton shrip and Timms Mill Grits, and buttermilk poundcake with seasonal fruit compote. Visit High Cotton’s website for more information or to see the full event menu, and call (843) 724-3815 to make reservations, which are required and available from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
