Oh, the 1980s. The decade of shoulder pads, arcades, and the launch of MTV came back with a vengeance at the Music Farm on Saturday with the Return of the ’80s Baby! Party. The stage was occupied with jumpin’, bumpin’, and M.C. Hammerin’ dancers that showed off their moves to the music of DJs R Dot and Natty Heavy. The floor was busy with dancing patrons, all dressed up in their raddest ’80s duds. There were hot pink pumps and leg warmers (of course), tons of hip-hop-inspired attire, and high tops and side ponytails everywhere. Taking center stage was a lady in a pair of fishnet stockings, short shorts, and an off-the-shoulder getup, looking like a booty flashdancer. Off to the side of the stage, a live graffiti artist worked on visuals throughout the event. The only thing missing from this bash were the Beastie Boys themselves.
