West Ashley’s favorite neighborhood Greek restaurant is expanding with a new franchised location in the Markets at Montague in North Charleston, but Manny’s Mediterranean Café will be a little bit different from the original Manny’s Neighborhood Grille.

“This one will have a fast and casual concept,” says owner Michael Stavrinakis. “We’ll have the same menu, but we’ll have a state-of-the-art franchise feel where you order at the counter and are designated a table. The tables are named after Greek islands, so instead of, say, calling your number, you’ll be called by what ‘island’ you’re sitting at. We’re putting in a lot of design work as well.”

Manny’s also welcomes a new member of the franchising company, Josh Baker, who will be heading up this new café. “We are excited to be rolling out this new concept and are fortunate enough to find such a great franchisee in Josh,” says Stavrinakis.

Josh is a 1979 graduate from Middleton High School. He got his BA in Communications in 1984 from Winthrop University, and has racked up over 25 years in business experience. This will be Baker’s first franchise.

Look for the new café to be open by early May.
