The Greater Park Circle Film Society will start off the month of May with a screening of Moving Midway at the Olde North Charleston Picture House on Sat. May 1. This 2008 documentary follows Godfrey Cheshire as he returns to his family home, Midway Plantation in North Carolina, which his cousin wants to uproot and transplant. The decision is controversial, and the history of the house and the family (and their involvement in slavery) is highlighted by the filmmaker. Per usual, tickets are $2 for members and $5 for non-members. The film begins at 7 p.m.
