South Carolina filmmaker Keva Keyes’ movie Letters from Home, which played locally during the Charleston Film Festival, will screen at the fourth annual G.I. Film Festival at the Carnegie Institute in Washington, D.C. The film will be shown on Sat. May 15 ­— Armed Forces Day — as part of a “Heroes of Modern War” shorts block. Nine minutes long, Letters from Home was produced in the Palmetto State and tells the story of a team of American soldiers in Afghanistan.
