The Post and Courier is reporting the Lt. Gov. André Bauer has asked campaign consultant Larry Marchant to resign from his struggling GOP gubernatorial campaign.
Bauer said he had become aware of a situation several days ago, and reached the conclusion that decisive action was dictated.
This news comes amidst the GOP primary is already knee deep in scandal with popular S.C. political blogger Will Folks claiming that he had an affair with state Rep. Nikki Haley, a leading GOP candidate.
