Red’s Icehouse celebrated the grand opening of its new Johns Island location at Bohicket Marina on Memorial Day weekend. Much like the Shem Creek Red’s, the new one takes prime advantage of its setting on the marina with two stories of porches and sweeping views.
Expect a more quiet vibe, though, as it’s surrounded by a much more sedate crowd (think Kiawah retirees and Seabrook denizens). The menu and daily specials, including the Monday night all-you-can-eat crab legs, are the same as the original Red’s on Shem Creek.
