McCrady’s Chef Sean Brock boarded a plane this morning, heading to Aspen for the Grand Cochon event on Sunday at the Food + Wine Classic where he will compete against nine other chefs for the title of King of Porc.
Brock was crowned a “Prince of Porc” at a regional Cochon competition in Atlanta in April, where he prepared ten dishes from a heritage pig — snout to tail.
Cochon 555 is the only national chef competition that promotes heritage breeds and breed diversity.
Brock’s competition includes Devin Knell from the French Laundry in Napa, Corwin Kave from the Fatty Crab in NYC, and John Sundstrom from Lark in Seattle.
Stay tuned to Brock’s twitter feed @hseanbrock to see what happens.
