A musician’s musician with the versatility to express himself with flair within just about any genre, Victor Wooten leads his side band on a July tour that lands at the Pour House on Wed. July 7.

The legendary bassist, author, composer, and multi-instrumentalist is a five-time Grammy award winner known well for his solo recordings and tours and as a member of Béla Fleck & The Flecktones. He’s been voted Bassist of the Year by Bass Player magazine three times.

He and his band headline a funky show in support of a jazzy new disc titled Palmystery (Heads Up), which features guest performances from The Lee Boys, Keb Mo, Mike Stern, Richard Bona, and other fusion and blues cats. Oso Rey & Soulgrass Rebellion open the Pour House show at 9 p.m.
