The owners of Fuel took an old gas station and transformed it into a Caribbean-themed indoor/outdoor restaurant and meeting place. They have $2 beer and a menu featuring everything from a pretty decent Seafood Bouyon (think Jamaican fish stew made with coconut milk) to a selection of burgers, fish, or shrimp tacos and desserts from Sugar Bakeshop down the street. You can belly up to the bar, get a smattering of housemade salsas, a cold craft brew, and beat the heat all summer long — and if you hang around long enough, you’re bound to catch one of their infamous “block parties” that overflow into the night.
