Charleston has its fair share of arts issues. The Charleston Symphony Orchestra is floundering. Arts organizations have fought hard for state funding. There’s a steady stream of venues closing, relocating, reorganizing, and opening. We report on news like this every week, but when we started thinking about painting a portrait of Charleston’s art scene for our annual Arts Issue, we decided to focus on the people who are changing the face of it. We call them the Ones to Watch.
