Redux Contemporary Art Center is seeking artists to exhibit in 2011. They’re accepting applicants in all media, as well as solo and group exhibitions and residencies. Thanks to a recent grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation, three artists will be awarded an honorarium of up to $2,000 that will help offset installation and travel costs. Find out how to apply here, or call (843) 722-0697.

Don’t think you’re ready for the big time yet? Consider taking part in the Professional Development Day for Artists, hosted by visiting artist Carson Fox on Sept. 18. Seminar topics will include defining goals, artist statements, resumes, biographies, creating cohesive presentation packages, documenting work, gallery relationships, exhibition venues, residencies, grants, and creative networking. Cost to attend is $30 before Sept. 10, $40 after. Best of all, the Recovery Room is providing lunch. Corn dogs … mmm.
