Tickets for the Dave Matthews Band concert at the North Charleston Coliseum go on sale soon. The veteran groove-rock band, led by singer/guitarist Dave Matthews, hits the Coliseum stage on Wed. Nov. 17 as part of a month-long East Coast arena tour.
An online ticket request period begins on Thurs. Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. and concludes Mon. Sept. 20, at noon via warehouse.davematthewsband.com. Tickets for the concert will go on sale for $65 and $75 to the general public on Fri. Sept. 24.
Matthews will be joined on stage by three longtime bandmates — drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard, and violinist Boyd Tinsley — and special guests. The group’s latest record, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King (RCA), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the summer of 2009. The collection was nominated for a Grammy for Album of the Year. It pays tribute to founding member/saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who passed away in 2008.
