Man, I must be getting old.
Seriously, the guys helping Nikki Haley run her campaign look like, well, kids. Like they have High School Musical on DVD. Like they watched SpongeBob religiously, but not in the snicker-snicker-pass-the-bong-dude sort of way of post-grads and young pros. Like they still carry lunchables. What the hell?
Of course, that’s not all that important. What’s important here is the way that Tim Pearson, Nikki Haley’s campaign manager, blocked a reporter from Spartanburg’s WSPA from asking the gubernatorial candidate a question. The reason: Nikki had an appointment … in Charlotte. For those of you who don’t know, Charlotte is in North Carolina, which is, um, not where Nikki is running for governor.
OK. That was a bit disingenuous. I’ll admit it. See, unlike Charleston, Greenville, Columbia, and Spartanburg, Rock Hill doesn’t really have a network TV station, so all of their local TV news comes out of Charlotte.
