So the “no 526” crowd is worried about precious Johns and James Island. I live on JI for 11 years and it’s troubling that so many people use the JI connector without seeming to notice the huge inclined mound of land left for an obvious entrance ramp to a 526 extension. If the connector just dead-ended into the woods at Folly Rd., then I could sympathize with fools who built houses in the path, but the huge incline left for future highway planners to build an extension is just too obvious, even for slow-witted locals.
