I suppose if your a radical extremist with religious beliefs the burning of flags, flying passenger airlines into public buildings and killing innocent people is expected. But aren’t we all tired of religion being the basis of mass destruction of human civility? Wars based on religion have killed more people than any other source of illness or famine. Can we not rise above this bullshit and just let people worship freely? Was that not the basis of our Constitution and the reason America exists? I am sickened to think how far we have removed ourselves from what it means to be American and what actually made this country great. Freedom folks, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to pursue happiness, and the ability to work hard and prosper. So what if some asshole wants to burn a book in Florida, as distasteful as it is, it is his right. It is not some benign, less than successful preacher man who is creating the uproar, it is the media. They have used him to pick the scab of a nation that has been undeniably hurt by the violence terrorists committed on our soil. The media has sensationalize this event like, well like it is an event. It’s not. It’s an American version of an extremist who has now been handed a power that he clearly cannot handle via the media. Like backing a dog in a corner, he can bite or roll over with his tail between his legs. He is being forced to reconcile this idiot behavior with his few followers and now the national as well as international media. What choice does he have now other than to burn the book? Thank CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN etc.
