Athens, Ga.-based rock band Widespread Panic is still on the way to the Lowcountry in October, but the venue has been switched to a new spot. Originally booked as an all-day, outdoor festival on Sat. Oct. 2 at Patriots Point as Panic on the Point, promoters switched it to the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson as Panic at the Fairgrounds. Apparently, things quite didn’t work out there, either, so their usual North Charleston haunt is welcoming them back with open arms.

"We are thrilled to have Widespread Panic at the Coliseum," says Dave Holscher, general manager of the North Charleston Coliseum in a press release. "They have performed more times at our building than any other artist in our history, and we can’t wait to have them return for another exciting show."

Also on the bill are Yonder Mountain String Band, Dead Confederate, The Movement, Leslie, and additional artists to be announced. Start time for the event is 2:30 p.m. (the parking lots open at 11 a.m.). Tickets are available for for $37.50 online through Etix.com until Mon. Sept. 20. Starting at 10 a.m. on Mon. Sept. 20, tickets will be available through the Coliseum Advance Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix grocery stores), by phone at (800) 745-3000, online at ticketmaster.com, and at Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix grocery stores ). Admission is $45 on the day of the show. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the Coliseum.
