The Cool

Busy local rock/pop combo the Cool plans to host another one of their annual holiday fundraisers on Folly Beach next month.

Singer/keyboardist Fiona Phillips, guitarist/singer Christi Smoak, lead guitarist Bill Cool, drummer K.C. Hazelwood, and bassist Greg Pallay are putting the final lineup and prize details together for the Cool Yule Xmas Party, set for Sun. Dec. 12 at the Sand Dollar on Folly (7 Center St., 843-588-9498).

The gig is designed to showcase some of their favorite musicians and rock acts in the area. The roster includes the Cool, the Hed Shop Boys, ThunderKings, the BBQ Bros., Hey Rocco, and other local musical guests. The nearby Tides Folly Beach hotel will be offering special rates the night of the show as well.

Admission is a $10 donation. All proceeds benefit the Toys for Tots organization. Check out myspace.com/thecoolbandcharleston for more info.
