Toubab Krewe

This Wednesday, Dec. 29 marks a return performance at the Pour House from Toubab Krewe, an Afrobeat/funk fusion musical project out of Asheville, N.C. Toubab Krewe has been on the road this fall and winter in support of their futuristic sophomore album, TK2, which came out on Nat Geo on Sept. 7.

City Paper contributor Stratton Lawrence gives the new collection a thumbs-up, calling it “pretty awesome … very different with diverse instrumentation.” Check out this Relix trailer previewing the album.

The Jonathan Scales Fourchestra performs an opening set at 9 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $15. Visit toubabkrewe.com and charlestonpourhouse.com for more.
