This weekend is all about Friday night. We know you’re going to do something huge, and that you’ll probably be so hungover from it that you won’t want to leave your bed until you have to go to work on Monday. At least, that’s our plan.
So make your New Year’s Eve a really, really good one. Check out our NYE guide and pick the right shindig for you.
But if you manage to come out of Friday night mostly unscathed, here are some things that’ll keep you occupied at the beginning of the New Year.
Shed your clothes and donate some money at either of Charleston’s Polar Bear Plunges. Dunleavy’s Pub is hosting Sullivan Island’s version, while Snapper Jacks has Folly Beach’s.
Is your best friend a Beetle? Stop by the I Luv My Vee-Dub Show and Jam on Sunday, where there’s a VW show, food, live music, live art, cash prizes, raffle, and more.
For an athletic take on New Year’s Eve, you can catch the South Carolina Stingrays playing the Greenville Road Warriors on Friday. Or just wait until Sunday, when they take on the Gwinnett Gladiators.
Elite Dance in Mt. Pleasant hosts a Grand Opening.
Back that ass up to Juvenile’s show at Halligan’s.
On behalf of the City Paper, get your designated driver ready, make sure a bottle of aspirin is on hand, and have a happy New Year.
