The L.A.-based rock/reggae/hip-hop band — vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum, vocalist/DJ SA Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton, and bassist P-Nut — formed in Omaha and made a splash in the mid ’90s with the release of albums like Music (1993) and Grassroots (1994) and a string of chart-topping singles, including “Down,” “Love Song,” and “Come Original.”
After a hiatus in the 2000s, they regrouped for 2007’s Unity Tour with Ziggy Marley. Produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Aerosmith), 311’s latest album Uplifter debuted at number three on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart in 2009.
Tickets are available at Cats Music and Monster Music & Movies, by phone at 1-800-514-3849, or at the Music Hall box office. Check out 311.com and charlestonmusichall.com for more.
