West Ashley record store Monster Music & Movies (946 Orleans Rd.) hosts two separate in-stores events on Sat. Jan. 22.

Charleston hip-hop artist Righchus (a.k.a. Matt Bostick) celebrates the release a new studio collection titled Sweetgrass & Supras this week. It’s a collaborative production between the rapper and studio bud Max “Benjamin” Berry. The twosome will conduct an album signing at Monster from 2-3:30 p.m.

Local songwriters Cary Ann Hearst, Joel T. Hamilton, and some of their Shrimp Records colleagues will be on hand at 4 p.m. for a meet-and-greet and performance in support of their latest album releases. Hearst’s new disc is titled Lions and Lambs. Hamilton’s new collection is called Feels Like We’re Gonna Win.

Both events are free. Visit monstermusicsc.com for more.
