If you have a classical music itch, then scratch away when Philippe Entremont and the German State Philharmonic (or the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie) visits Charleston’s Gaillard Municipal Auditorium on Feb. 2. The German State Philharmonic consists of 88 players who play 90 shows a year. The celebrated orchestra has lent their sound to musical theater and movie soundtracks.

Entremont leads the orchestra with 30 years of experience as one of the most recorded artists of all time. He’s also conducted various orchestras across the globe. Entremont has selected the works of Weber, Mozart, and Mahler for the evening.
