The Green and Bold

It’s been nearly a year and a half since local songwriter, singer, guitarist, and keyboardist Randall Cox released his debut album Love, Luck, and Regard under the band name the Green and Bold. In March, the act comes back with a sophomore effort titled Shut Up and Sit Tight on a new label enterprise called LifePlaid Records.

Cox recorded his new tracks last summer at Slow Runner multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaler’s busy Hello Telescope studio. Guest musicians include Kaler, Scott Dence, Richard Hussey, Stephanie Something, and Steven Thompson. The Green and Bold returns to the stage for the first time in over a year during a show at the Village Tavern on Fri. Feb. 18.

Songwriter Harrison Ray will open the show, celebrating the release of his own solo album, a self-produced collection titled El Paraguas.
