There’s been so much talk about sesquicentennials lately, but we’re not impressed. We like things that are older. Like the Gunilla, an old-school Swedish tall ship that’s docked in the Charleston Harbor once again. The 160’ Barkentine has 52 people aboard, 40 of whom are teenage students.

Head over to the Charleston Maritime Center to take a look, and maybe you’ll get lucky. If someone’s aboard, they’re usually willing to give tours.

The ship will be here until the morning of March 22. For more info, call (843) 724-3746
