The Park Circle Film Society is preparing to host their fifth installment of Lowcountry Indie Shorts, but we hear from Chief Information Officer Nicholai Burton that they haven’t gotten too many entries so far. Submissions are open until April 23, so if you happen to have a short film lying around, you might as well give it a shot — or you can get ambitious and whip something up in a few days.

Entries must have been made after April 1, 2010 and must be two to 30 minutes in length. They cannot have been in a previous Shorts event, but it’s all right if they’ve been shown in other festivals or events. All genres are encouraged.

Visit the society’s website for the official rules and a submission form. This time around, they’re reaching past Charleston to Myrtle Beach and Beaufort as well.

Lowcountry Indie Shorts will take place May 7 at 7 p.m.
