Last week, we spotted a new cart on the corner of King and George streets, The King of Pops.
It’s an offshoot of the original cart in Atlanta (which has expanded to multiple carts and markets), and the concept should prove popular around here, particularly when the thermometer hits 95. The hand-crafted gourmet popsicles change seasonally and use fresh fruits and ingredients. We stopped by and tried the grapefruit mint (so refreshing) and the chocolate sea salt (think Jello Pudding Pop). Flavors rotate, but you might encounter a strawberry margarita, an Arnold Palmer (tea and lemonade), and banana pudding.
