What’s better than checking out the latest exhibits at the Gibbes Museum of Art? Checking them out with the artist himself. Stephen Marc, the man behind the museum’s latest exhibit Passage on the Underground Railroad, will host a discussion and tour on Fri. May 27 at 11 a.m.

The Arizona-based artist created two different series for the exhibit comprised of Underground Railroad sites and montages. This includes photographs of the Underground Railroad locations and plantation sites as well as primary source documents and other remnants of slavery from a variety of sources. Marc will give visitors insight into his process and inspiration.

The talk and tour is free with museum admission ($9/adults, $7/seniors, students, military, $5/ages 6-12, free/under 6). Find out more at gibbesmuseum.org or call (843) 722-2706.
