When we got an e-mail from What If? Productions saying Hedwig’s corset had been stolen, we thought it was a joke or a publicity stunt. But artistic director Kyle Barnette assures us it’s a serious matter.

He writes: "At the very end of tonight’s performance of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hedwig’s iconic corset she removes at the end of "Exquiste Corpse", and leaves on the small stage in the center of the audience, was stolen by what can only be assumed to be a fanatic fan. While all of us at What If? appreciate an exuberant fan, that corset is a pivotal and valuable costume piece that we need for the rest of our Piccolo Spoleto."

You heard the man: The show must go on, but it needs this important wardrobe element in order to do so. If you have info, contact Kyle at kbarnette@whatifproductions.org. The production continues June 6-8.
