Readers of AmericanStyle Magazine ranked their favorite arts destinations in a recent poll, and Charleston snagged the No. 4 spot among mid-sized U.S. cities. Were joined at No. 4 by San Francisco and Saugatuck, Mich. (where?).
The number one winners for large, mid-sized, and small cities went to New York City, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Asheville, N.C., respectively. Savannah beat out Charleston for the No. 2 spot, but we ranked higher than other mid-sized cities like Miami (No. 10), Honolulu (18), and Cincinnati (25).
