Food is one of the best ways to show love for the moms in your life, and Charleston has many great options for Mother’s Day. In alphabetical order, here are some ways to wine and dine the moms in your life this year. Be warned: Some of them aren’t cheap.

Beautiful South

Beautiful South offers a full brunch on May 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including signature dim sum, siu mei and flavors from the wok. The restaurant will also feature a cocktail special, the “Xi Mangmu,” a ginger peach bellini. In Chinese culture, the peach is a profound symbol of longevity, immortality and fertility, deeply connected to the Xi Wangmu, a mother goddess figure.

The Crossing at The Cooper

On May 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy a special Mother’s Day buffet-style brunch at The Crossing, the new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located inside the new waterfront Cooper hotel. Guests can savor elevated brunch classics alongside beautiful Cooper River views. Tickets are $195 per person.

Daniel Humm x Charleston Place

On May 10 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., celebrate Mother’s Day at Chef Daniel Humm x The Charleston Place. Dinner features a five-course prix-fixe menu and tickets are $195 per person.

Iron Rose

Mother’s Day at Iron Rose at the Mills House Hotel includes a lavish buffet with a prime rib carving station, a deviled egg bar, salads and vegetable options plus delicious breakfast selections such as French toast and quiche. Pricing is $95 per adult and $35 per child.

Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse

The steakhouse will celebrate mothers from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 10. The experience includes 18 unlimited selections from the grill carved tableside, featuring the signature Picanha (sirloin beef) as well as seafood options. As a complement, a gourmet salad bar is available and desserts include tres leches cake, crème brûlée and Brazilian Pudim (a dish similar to custard), paired with an extensive, curated wine list. Cost is $75 per person.

The Grocery

The Grocery’s Mother’s Day brunch includes a seasonal array of dishes like vanilla mascarpone stuffed French toast, eggs Benedict, fried chicken biscuits and a selection of brunch beverages.

Halls Signature Events

For those looking to celebrate mom at home, Halls Signature Events has Mother’s Day to-go meals. Each meal serves four to six people, and pickups are available at Halls Signature Events and at Kiawah Island Sandcastle on May 9 and May 10 during select hours. Meals start at $95 and include breakfast items like quiche and lemon blueberry biscuits, and lunch and dinner options like tenderloin, fried chicken, whipped potato and braised butter beans. Desserts are also available for purchase à la carte.

Hotel Bennett

Hotel Bennett will offer a Mother’s Day afternoon tea service on May 10 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Camellias. Guests looking for a more classic-style brunch can take mom to Gabrielle or can celebrate in the Crown Ballroom for a grandiose brunch featuring decadent sweet and savory stations, entertainment and a complimentary glass of prosecco for adults.

Palmetto Café at the Charleston Place

On May 9 and May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Charleston Place’s Palmetto Cafe will host a family-friendly buffet-style brunch, with a special take-home gift for every mom. Sunday will also offer a champagne cart rolling through the lobby all morning. Tickets are $125 per person.

Pelato

Pelato will serve brunch on May 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by dinner service from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Each service features an à la carte menu that, in addition to Pelato’s traditional menu, includes dishes like heart-shaped cannoli pancakes at brunch and dinner highlights such as lobster risotto with English peas and black truffle, Coney Island crab cakes and a short rib sandwich layered with fontina cheese, pickled giardiniera and roasted garlic aioli. Pelato will also offer cocktail specials.

Sorelle

On May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sorelle is hosting a “Buona Festa Della Momma” brunch, a three-course Italian-inspired menu with interactive stations featuring shellfish and pastries throughout the restaurant. Tickets are $140 for adults and $55 for children.

Park and Grove

Park and Grove will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a festive brunch celebration and vendor pop-up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with The Sister Edit, a women’s clothing boutique.

The Restaurant at Zero George

The Restaurant at Zero George will host “cuvées and caviar,” an intimate, sommelier-led tasting of three sparkling wines paired with half an ounce of Regiis Ova caviar and classic accouterments. Seatings are available at 1 p.m. on May 9 and May 10 and the cost is $150 per person.
