The Charleston Symphony Orchestra has hired two new staffers that will play a vital role in the future growth of the organization.
Alana Morrall is the new director of development, a position thatโs sat empty for many years. Morrall previously served as the director of individual and institutional giving for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for six years, raising an average of $2 million annually and increasing the symphonyโs membership base by 40 percent. Sheโs also done stints with the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Washington Concert Opera, and the American University Symphony Orchestra.
Nicole Ward is the CSOโs new director of marketing. For the past three years, sheโs worked as the manager of patron engagement at the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, where she managed the new acquisitions subscription campaign and an audience growth initiative.
