The City of North Charleston is accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year. You can submit them here.

According to a press release, “Nominees must possess and demonstrate a generous community spirit, prove their commitment, and display a consistent effort of positively impacting the community, thereby raising the standards of social responsibility.”

Who will it be?

The Rev. Bill Stanfield, CEO of Metanoia?

Robert Grimm, the new principal at North Charleston High School? Has he proven himself yet?

EVO Pizzeria co-owner and chef Matt McIntosh, whose pistachio pesto pizza made Food Network magazine’s list of top 10 pizzas (not exactly a humanitarian effort, but close)?

And this might be too obvious, but what about Anita Zucker?

Or what about someone who has never made the news? Got a good neighbor? Here’s your chance to shine a spotlight on someone who deserves it.
