A group of Lowcountry musicians and businesses will come together for an all-night jam session and fundraiser on Sat. Dec. 17 for the family of Kent Frits, the longtime proprietor of Mt. Pleasant venue Art’s Bar and Grill (413 Coleman Blvd.).
Billed as the Have a Heart Benefit, the event is designed to assist the Frits family with medical bills accumulated during Lisha Frits’ ongoing battle with heart disease.
This Saturday’s lineup at Art’s includes Fowler’s Mustache, the Average Savage, Baby Fat, Jeff Bateman’s Stud Farm, Sarah Cole and the Hawkes, members of the Blue Dogs, and special guests. Frits will host an afternoon oyster roast and pig roast on the deck, as well.
