Legendary, Mississippi-born blues/jazz pianist and songsmith Mose Allison is set to perform an intimate solo show on Fri. Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. as part of a fundraiser for the American College of Building Arts. Allison’s illustrious career spans five decades. A variety of artists have covered his music, including the Rolling Stones, the Who, Tom Waits, and Elvis Costello.
Australian singer/guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, a two-time Grammy nominee is solid for a solo concert on Fri. Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. Critics and fans consider Emmanuel to be one of the finest finger-style guitarists on the international circuit. His 2010 performance at this venue was stellar.
