In the midst of releasing a new hit album titled I’m With You and the recent announcement of their induction into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame, seasoned funk-rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers are venturing out on the road yet again.
They’ll kick off the American leg of the tour after ringing in the New Year, with are several stops in the Carolinas.
I’m With You is the L.A.-based group’s 10th studio album (and first in five years), with Warner Bros. It debuted at No. 2 on U.S. charts in August, while hitting No. 1 in loads of other countries, including the U.K., where it reached the top in early September. More tour dates are seemingly being announced everyday and the eight-month road trip, their first since releasing 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, will take them all across the globe.
The Peppers will be at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on Wed. Jan. 25 and at the RBC Arena in Raleigh on Fri. Jan. 27 before heading to the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on Sat. Jan. 28. According to the band’s official website, tickets are still available for all three of their Carolina performances.
