Adding four walls to their business which has, until now, run on four wheels, Hello My Name is BBQ will soon open the doors of their new “World Headquarters” at 616 Meeting St., right at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. A definite opening date has not been set in stone, but Ryner Burg, one half of Hello, says that she and her husband/other half, Cody, are shooting for sometime in February.

The Hello My Name is BBQ Facebook page has been providing subtle hints of the grand opening, including one photograph of what appears to be their future home in the midst of renovations. From outside, the Meeting Street location’s fresh blue and beige paint job mirrors the color of its four-wheeled counterpart. The popular mobile grub station will still be posting up around town for their daily rotation, rodeos, and other events. “We are very much dedicated to the food truck movement here in Charleston,” Burg says. However, due to a new mobile food vending regulation, they are required to have a base of operations.

According to Burg, the new restaurant will have dining room seating and will run many of the same menu options as the truck. As of now, the only difference will be a few more side options with the daily special and air conditioning to battle those stifling summer days. Oh, and you won’t have to worry about a rainy day leading to a soggy Boss Hog ever again. Keep up with Hello My Name is BBQ on Facebook and Twitter.
