We know not all skateboarders are suicidal idiots with a penchant for going the wrong way down one-way streets. That’s why we’re big fans of Pour It Now, an organization that promotes public skateparks.

Pour It Now is currently seeking submissions for Skate and Create 2012, a fundraiser that asks artists to use skateboards as a canvas. You can make a painting or a sculpture or whatever your skater-loving heart desires. You just need to upload a photo of your work to Pour It Now’s Facebook page or post it on Instagram with the tag #sk8ncre8.

The deadline for submissions is March 1, and the art will be auctioned off in Charleston later in the month. Proceeds will help the organization donate a Skate Pass to the Charleston Charter School for Math and Science, which will allow the school to teach skateboarding in PE class.
