Trace Adkins

Contemporary country artist Trace Adkins recently announced his Songs & Stories Tour, a spring road trip across the U.S. that swings through the Lowcountry on Thurs. May 3 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

The tall, baritone-voiced Adkins has earned 30 charted singles over the last 20 years. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Adkins grew up in north Louisiana playing gospel and rock ’n’ roll before relocating to Nashville in the early 1990s.

In 2007, he wrote an autobiography entitled A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Free-Thinking Roughneck. This year’s Songs & Stories Tour supports Adkins’ new studio album Proud to Be Here (his 10th). The collection features the current radio singles “Just Fishin’” and “Million Dollar View.”

Tickets for reserved seats are on sale for $75, $59.50, and $45 at the box office, Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix stores), by phone at (800) 745-3000, and online at northcharlestoncoliseumpac.com. Visit traceadkins.com for more.
