This week will give you a number of special opportunities to find that very thoughtful (or last minute) Valentine’s Day gift.

MONDAY. You’ve read and discussed Washington Square. Now see the film version at Let’s Talk About It: Masterpiece Theatre. The ESP Trio has a show at El Bohio.

TUESDAY. See Bully Pulpit at the Rec Room.

WEDNESDAY. Have you ever had mead? OK, have you ever had mead outside of a ren-fest? If not, or even if you have, try some at the Savannah Bee Co. And it’s time for the Pour House Family Jam, or slurp on some free coffee while perusing jewelry at Alchemy.

THURSDAY. Learn about film and TV distribution deals at the Southeastern Filmmakers Meeting. Woke Up Black, a doc about five black youths and their journey into adulthood, plays at the Avery Research Center. The Movable Type ’82 Chevy, complete with functional letterpress, makes a stop at Sideshow Press. O-Ku plays host to Colleton’s Fine Clothing and Drift Projects Jewelry Show, which means free sushi.

FRIDAY. Honorary Lowcountry Highroller (well, not officially, as far as we know, but, you know, basically) Jonathan Stout presents his Derby Love: The Roller Derby Photo Art Show. And the V-Tones will uke it up at Local Market and Coffee Bar.

SATURDAY. Michael Mitchell Gallery has the Art and Designer Pop Up Shop, while COAST Brewing has Handcrafted Hearts, giving you plenty of opportunities for last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts. Dr. Artemus Gaye will lecture at screenings of Prince Among Slaves starting today.

SUNDAY. King Street closes once again for pedestrian traffic. This month has a sports theme.
