The Hump Bar is like something out of a dream. It’s on a lonely stretch of Meeting Street Road, a route you would take to Pittsburgh Avenue’s strip clubs or maybe farther, all the way into North Charleston. And there it stands, like an oasis, only you can’t go in it unless you’re an actor or crew member of Army Wives. On the Lifetime show, the army wives of the title like to hang out at the Hump Bar. Heck, it’s been bombed before.
The City Paper has spotted a crew setting up to film at the Hump Bar today. You may want to drive past to get a look, or you may want to avoid that route in general, because they like to take up some of the road. Not that there’s that much traffic around there.
