On the heels of the successful Mac’n at the ‘Drome benefit concert at the Hippodrome (360 Concord St.), the folks at Awendaw Green have organized another local showcase at the venue.

Co-presented by the Bridge at 105.5 and supported by GrowFood Carolina, the Sustainability Institute, the Coastal Conservation League, and Palmetto Distribution, the Awendaw Green at the Charleston Hippodrome show is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thurs. Feb. 23. Some of the core musicians from the Awendaw Green scene — including Danielle Howle, Bret Mosley, Carey Murdoc, and Caroline Pond — will assemble on the stage in the theater at 7:30 p.m. for an interactive songwriter-in-the-round show. An acoustic set from musically dexterous string/ukulele combo the V-Tones (with guest player Carolina Pond) will follow at 9 p.m.

Food will be provided by Home Team BBQ. Beer and wine will be available for purchase as well. Tickets are available for $10 and may be purchased online at charlestonhippodrome.com or at the box office on the day of the show. Visit awendawgreen.com for more.
