Local musicians and friends have organized a fundraiser at the Pour House for Josh Dybzinski, a local food ’n’ bev guy and drummer who suffered spinal chord injuries in a major car wreck in December.

Dybzinski worked in City Paper’s production department before becoming a part of the Home Team BBQ family on Sullivan’s Island. He’s been recuperating slowly, and his medical bills are very high.

Nicknamed Hawk Rawk (for Dybzinski’s new mohawk cut), the benefit is set for 2 p.m. on Sun. March 11. A variety of local bands will perform on the Pour House deck stage and main stage throughout the afternoon and night. The deck show will include sets from the Audicy, Taco Donkey, and Guilt Ridden Troubadour, followed by an acoustic jam session. Inside, starting at 6 p.m., Love Butter, Disco Demolition Knights, Shonuff, and Gaslight Street will hit the main stage.

Admission is a $20 donation for an all-day pass. Kids get in for free. A silent auction and raffle is in the works as well. Proceeds will go directly to Dybzinski’s medical fund. Visit charlestonpourhouse.com for more.
