Spoleto Producing Director Nunally Kersh is taking her leave in mid-March after more than 16 years with the festival. Marketing and PR Director Paula Edwards says, “I think Nunally really feels the need to spend more time with her family. She’s given 16-plus years to the festival and deserves a great deal of credit for our success.”
Kersh started her Spoleto stint in 1996 when General Director Nigel Redden coaxed her away from a similar position at New York’s Lincoln Center to help him revive a floundering festival — something she and the rest of the staff have definitely accomplished. We can also thank Kersh for bringing her husband, Hominy Grill’s chef Robert Stehling, to Charleston.
Edwards says there is no replacement to announce and they’ll likely begin the search after this year’s festival.
