The Dock Street Theater was transported back to the Ming Dynasty on Thursday for the dress rehearsal of Feng Yi Ting. The opera is based on a classic but ornerous Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Using traditional Chinese instruments and highly polished and powerful vocal gymnastics by the cast, the tale of manipulative femme fatale is told.
