One of the most artistically challenging performances of this year’s Spoleto Festival comes from A Crack in Everything. It’s highly abstracted modern dance set to a varied soundtrack of opera, electronic instrumentation, and silence. The result is an electrifying and bizarre exploration of human movement. You can see by the photos below that the visuals are sparse and dominated by the gold speckled make-up and costumes worn by the dancers.
